Each camera is mounted at a specific angle so the camera’s field of view will overlap portions of the surrounding cameras’ field of view. That overlap will eliminate any gaps in the footage and allow for flexibility at the seams.
The future is 360-degree photos. Images are snapped automatically when you reach each designated position and once you’re done, the app does all the hard work of stitching together the images you’ve taken.
Shot using an omnidirectional camera or a collection of cameras, 360-degree videos allow you to view in every direction at the same time. During playback on normal flat display the viewer has control of the viewing direction like a panorama.
